Mozingo Lake has added something new. Beginning this season outdoor enthusiasts will be able to rent single or tandem Kayaks. The rental kiosk will be located at the ADA Fishing Dock across from the public beach parking lot. Hourly rentals include the kayak, paddles and life jackets. There is a 2 hr minimum, with 4 hr and 8 hr rental options available
Maryville RII has announced that Erin Hageman will be the new assistant principal at the Middle School. Hageman has 20 years of teaching experience and currently serves as the Elementary Principal & Special Education Director at Nodaway Holt.
Just as we are all shaking the winter chill off, The Farmers Almanac has some summer predictions for us. This year summer will begin on June 20th, the earliest start to summer in 128 years! And you might want to be sure your air conditioner is ready to go, you will need it. Summer predictions for our area indicate this is going to be a hot and dry one. The Farmers Almanac refers to it as a Barn burner. The ongoing La Nina climate pattern is what influences the predictions. Both Almanacs and NOAA National oceanic and atmospheric administration agree this summer will be scorcher!
