The Savannah Aquatic Center has permanently closed after hosting a final “Splash Bash” for Andrew County residents to share memories of the beloved community hub. While saddened by the loss of an affordable and safe summer activity, hope remains as a local group, the Andrew County Aquatics Initiative, is spearheading efforts to build a new pool. The initiative is already making progress, having met an initial $50,000 fundraising milestone and now aiming to raise $500,000 to match a potential grant.
