St. Joseph police have taken a juvenile into custody in connection with a shooting Monday evening that left a male minor with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers responded to the 3100 block of North 10th Street just after 6 p.m., where the victim was found before being transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital. While the investigation remains active, the department has confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the community.
