911 Texting Coming to Nodaway County

The Nodaway County 911 Oversight Board held a meeting Tuesday to discuss the “next-gen 911” system and a grant from the the Missouri 911 Service Board to upgrade its dispatch equipment. The upgrade would allow dispatchers to receive 911 text messages. The board said the new system would be active by the end of the year.

Area Schools Head To State Track

Students from schools through the area are headed to Jefferson City for the State Track Tournaments this weekend. Platte Valley is sending 10 athletes and Maryville has 23 athletics competing. FBI Called In For Branson Perry Tip

Following a “credible tip” received by The Nodaway County Sheriffs Office in related to the Branson Perry case, the FBI has been called in to assist. An FBI “specialized team” will arrive Monday to future investigate a well on a property in Quitman. The tip in the 23-year-old missing persons case was received Tuesday night.
