Community Missions in St. Joseph is looking to turn its cold weather shelter into a 24-hour facility. The organization already provides resources and shelter to the homeless community, which cost $62,000 to operate for 50 days last year. To operate 24-hour a day annually, it would cost an over $700,000 to operate, according to News-Press Now. Executive Director Rachael Bittiker told News-Press they hope to work towards a solution for homelessness and not just apply a bandage.
