Democrats will have 93 polling locations in 84 counties for their party-run presidential primary scheduled for March23rd. Polls will be open from 8am to noon. Voters can request a mail in ballot. However, requests must be received by today and returned to state Headquarters by March 23rd. The Democrat party tried to secure polling locations in low population areas like along the Iowa/ Missouri border but were unsuccessful.

The Missouri house of representatives voted 103-33 in defense of landlord rights with the passage of HB 2385. This legislation seeks to protect landlords’ autonomy in rental assistance programs. Counties and cities can no longer mandate landlords to accept rental payments from tenants relying on federal housing programs. Acknowledging the financial risks a landlord may experience when accepting vouchers, This bill also displays a commitment to protecting landlords rights and to growing a robust rental market in the state. The bill will go to the Missouri Senate next.
