The Missouri State Highway Patrol is intensifying its safety efforts for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. This initiative aims to reduce incidents, following last year’s Memorial Day Weekend which saw 1,046 vehicle crashes, 486 injuries, and ten fatalities, along with seven boating accidents. The highway patrol will also be actively monitoring for impaired drivers and boaters, encouraging all Missourians to prioritize safety and utilize their emergency assistance number for help or to report crimes.
