The St. Joseph Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol recently teamed up for a targeted enforcement operation to curb hazardous driving and deter local crime. Utilizing ground units and a highway patrol helicopter, officers conducted nearly ninety traffic stops that led to dozens of citations, warnings, and multiple warrant arrests. Police Chief Paul Luster emphasized that the aerial support is a critical safety tool, allowing law enforcement to safely manage fleeing suspects without putting the public at risk.
