The Maryville City Council approved a $4.1 million revenue bond to fund planning and design for a new water treatment plant, with repayment sourced solely from water revenues. Additionally, the council voted to seek Community Development Block Grant funding for a $900,000-$1,000,000 replacement fire truck, as the current Engine No. 3 is nearing 30 years of service. Other council actions included approving a new lake patrol boat, tourism advertisements, and a compensation study for city employees.
