After swearing in new member Erin Allen, the Maryville City Council approved the city’s annual property tax levy rates for its general, library, parks, and debt retirement funds. The council also authorized several key initiatives, including a cost-sharing plan with Northwest Missouri State for pedestrian safety improvements and a new design for a pergola in the downtown alleyway project. Other business included approving two liquor license applications, street closures for upcoming community events, and the purchase of a new vehicle.
