The Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office and local officials are investigating a fatal residential structure fire in Maryville, according to KMA. Early Monday morning, the Maryville Fire Department responded to reports of flames coming out of a home. Officials confirmed an individual was trapped inside a main-floor bedroom who was removed from the home and pronounced dead at the local hospital.
