Municipal elections are tomorrow. Polls open at 6 am and close at 7pm. There are many important issues on the ballot aside from the respective city council and school board elections for all the varying townships. The biggest County wide proposition is the ⅜ cent sales tax that will upgrade our current 9-1-1 system to the Next Gen 9-1-1 that allows for needed capabilities that will serve our rural community better. Funds derived from the proposal will also help sustain our emergency call center in addition to its upgrade. City Manager Greg McDanel will join the Breakfast Club Tuesday at 9am to talk more about this ballot proposition.
All registered voters are encouraged to get out and vote Tuesday. Your Voice your vote does make a difference. The direction our community takes depends on you. CIty Council, school board members and different ballot issues in each township are on the ballot. Copies of the ballots have been distributed in the local newspapers and are available online at nodawaycountymo.us/sample-ballots/
