The April 2nd ballot will include the JUMP Proposition that is a no-tax-increase bond for the Maryville School district. The purpose of this bond is to renovate and update all three of the schools in the Maryville R-II School District to utilize and provide a better learning space, increasing safety for all students.
Mark your calendars for the statewide tornado drill. Wednesday March 6th and 11 am the sirens will be sounding off. Everyone is encouraged to take this time to review your drill procedures to ensure that if the need arises you are prepared for severe weather.
The Maryville R-II School District has announced that Michelle Green, current assistant principal at the Maryville Middle School, has been chosen as principal at Eugene Field Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year. Replacing Philip Pohren who has accepted the assistant superintendent position. Green has more than 30 years experience in education, including more than five years experience teaching students at the college level.
