Maryville, Missouri, celebrated the grand opening of the new Mozingo Visitors Center last week, a 3,200-square-foot facility located at the park’s entrance. This new building offers a convenience store, staff offices, conference rooms, and crucially, a storm shelter accessible to park visitors even when staff are not present. The project was a collaboration with the Northwest Technical School’s building trades class and was funded in part by a $331,000 state grant.
