Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing over the plan for the Interstate 229 bridge on Aug. 15, at the Remington Nature Center n St. Joseph. The preferred alternative is the double-decker bridge being removed and replaced with a four-lane arterial road constructed at grade in the same location.
