The Maryville City Council has approved an agreement with Woolpert, Inc. to begin the engineering phase for a community hangar to be built at the regional airport. The structure will be a 80×80 foot building large enough to accommodate jets and helicopters.
Campaign filers gathered in Jefferson city Tuesday. By 5pm, 435 candidates had filed with US Rep. Sam Graves being the very first in line. Tuesday was the first day of a month-long window for political hopefuls to file with the Secretary of State’s office. Each candidate registers the party they are with, pays a filing fee and draws a number that by lottery is chosen by election officials and determines ballot placement.
